Heh. That's awesome.

I remember the first time I went to my in-law's house, it was Hannukah. And my father-in-law-to-be made a huge pork roast. Gotta love marrying into a family that's half-Puerto-Rican and half-Jewish.

In a slightly related topic, I went to a military college with some Turkish, Muslim exchange cadets. During Ramadan, the cafeteria made boxed meals for them to pick-up in the evenings. On the first day of Ramadan freshman year, they opened the box to discover....ham sandwiches.

When I lived near Shreveport LA every year during Passover I would make a trek to the supermarket (we lived there for almost 6 years, so I tried a bunch of supermarkets in the are) and each time I asked "Do you carry matzo?" I would be directed to the Hawaiian Fruit Bread. I tried to figure out why. Then it occurred to me that we do "dip" the bitter herbs during Passover, so maybe they thought it was a holiday to celebrate dip. (For those who may not be familiar, the Fruit Bread they sold in the supermarkets near me were popular for carving out the center and filling with spinach dip.)
